Can you help us create a brand for a partnership in South Tyneside?
Who we are
Rise is a leading health and wellbeing charity. We are passionate about the role that physical activity can play in making a positive difference to communities across North East England that need it most.
We’re the lead applicant on a project in South Tyneside, funded by Sport England that uses place-based approaches to transform lives and communities through movement and physical activity.
Our challenge
The steering group for the project brings together partners from a range of sectors including the Active Partnership (Rise), South Tyneside Council (including public health, leisure leads, local area coordination, transport and anti-poverty leads), the voluntary, community, social enterprise (VSCE) sector via Inspire South Tyneside and Groundwork, and infrastructure organisations such as the NHS Integrated Care Board (IBC).
We need a new, cohesive brand so that the group can speak with one voice.
We’re looking for an agency based in the North East, ideally in South Tyneside, to help us with this work. If you’re interested, we would love to hear a proposal from you responding to what we need.
What you need to know
This new brand needs to be unique, even though:
- Rise is an Active Partnership with equivalents across England who are working on similar projects.
- Rise is working on a similar projects across multiple locations.
- There are lots of partners involved in the South Tyneside project – Rise is the lead applicant but should not be more prominent.
The brand is aimed at partners and end users: we want to bring partners in and work with a single collaborative approach rather than siloed working, but also communities and residents so they have a ‘movement’ they can relate too.
It will it be used on the existing comms channels of the partners, in meetings and at events.
The project has funding to March 2028, but we expect further funding and want the brand to have longevity beyond this.
What we need
We expect that discussions during community group workshops will lead to the development of a common purpose, name and strapline (or some options) as a starting point. We would like to discuss whether or not you are involved in this stage.
Following that, we require from you:
- Identity: detailing our offer and USP
- Logo
- Colour palette
- Assets
- Brand guidelines: these should detail how to use the new brand; how to talk about it and how to refer to the partners; and how partners should describe the brand in their own communications.
- Word/report templates
- PowerPoint templates
- Leaflet/flyer/poster templates
- Social media templates for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram formats
- Email signature
- Fonts should be free to use
At this stage we are not considering creating new channels such as a website or social media accounts.
Timeline
Deadline for agency proposals: Sunday 29 March.
Decision made: week commencing 30 March.
Delivery of assets: July 2026.
