The This Girl Can campaign in Newcastle celebrated a realistic vision of women and exercise and worked to tackle the gender activity gap.
This Girl Can Newcastle was a 15-month programme aiming to support women and girls facing barriers to being physically active. Rise North East and Newcastle City Council commissioned Urban Foresight to evaluate the programme. The Executive Summary and Case Studies from the programme can be found below.
