The Active Lives (Children and Young People) survey provides a world-leading approach to gathering data on how children engage with sport and physical activity.
It gives anyone working with children aged 5-16 key data to help understand children’s attitudes and behaviours around sport and activity.
Rise oversees the survey on behalf of Sport England for the North East. We work closely with schools to ensure we receive the quantity and quality of responses that are necessary to paint a picture of the current physical activity landscape across the county.
A sample of schools is chosen each term by Sport England, and incentives are provided for schools who provide at least 30 pupil responses.
What you’ll receive for participation:
- Sports equipment voucher
- A bespoke school-level report summarising the schools survey data giving you insight of your young people’s activity
- The option to participate in the Healthy Schools Rating Scheme – you’ll receive a bronze, silver, or gold certificate directly from the Department of Education.
