My role as the Empowering People Development Manager is to lead on the strategic support and guidance provided to the cross sector workforce in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, and County Durham, empowering people to effectively utilise and embed physical activity within their respective sectors to meet the needs of the people they’re engaging with. I work with a range of partners and stakeholders to develop suitable training and support in order to upskill, provide expertise, competence, confidence, awareness and understanding of physical activity.
I really value the importance of having a workforce fit for purpose, who really understand the participants and communities they are working with and are passionate about making physical activity the norm.
At Rise I work closely with the CYP team and our place leads, as well as oversee the internal training for staff.
