My role is to gather, analyse and summarise complex data and insight, and communicate what we learn to stakeholders to support our place-based work in North Tyneside, Newcastle and Northumberland. I also help collect, assess and report information that strengthens how we plan, deliver and evaluate sport and physical activity for communities facing inequalities across these areas.
I’ve previously worked across research, policy, and community and service development, all centred on tackling inequalities at local, regional and national levels. These roles focused on using people’s experiences to build evidence for positive change. My research into Universal Credit sparked a deeper interest in health inequalities and how we can address avoidable differences in health outcomes.
Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, especially if it involves good food or coffee! I enjoy reading, music and exercise, particularly running. I’m a keen football fan and a Newcastle United season ticket holder. I also volunteer as a mentor with The Girls’ Network.
