Our Early Years Conference has become a leading event for people working in the early years sector and for the fourth year in a row the event has sold out. The 2026 conference will bring together early years professionals to share fresh ideas, practical strategies and build valuable connections. The conference will build upon successes from previous years and will feature three workshops and a marketplace of services.
This year’s conference will feature a keynote address from Dr Gemma Goldenberg, Deputy Director of the Institute for the Science of Early Years – focusing on why learning grows outdoors. Drawing from the latest research in psychology, Dr Goldenberg will explore what happens in the brain and body when children are outside – highlighting the wealth of benefits that outdoor learning brings.
The conference will also feature three workshops:
- The ‘Goldilocks zone’: Stimulation in the learning environment and getting it ‘just right’ for children led by Dr Gemma Goldenberg.
- Anti Racism and Inclusion within Early Years Education led by Amjid Khazir, Director – Media Cultured.
- Growing Communication: Making the Most of Nature for Early Language Learning led by Katherine Elder of Nature Makers and Kendra McWilliam of The Wildside – learning through nature CIC.
